Leavitt and Shane Endsley (trumpets), Devon Park (French horn), Paul
Naslund (trombone), and Steve Dunn (tuba). This is the Chamber
ensemble that was founded and directed by Gerry Endsley for 40 years.

Director of the Denver Municipal Band for 20 years
with this custom bench in his honor at the
2017 Annual 4th of July Celebration in Washington Park.
Goal – to raise $10,000 by June 1, 2017. An estimated $6,000 will pay for the design, construction and installation of the bench. Additional funds will benefit the Denver Municipal Band’s Annual Concert Series.

Jerry was a graduate of Denver Public Schools and held Trumpet Performance degrees from the New England Conservatory and the University of Colorado. He performed with the Colorado Symphony, the Colorado Opera and Ballet Orchestras, and served as the Music Contractor for the Denver Center Theatre Company. He was a specialist in the history of soprano brass instruments and was an avid collector of historic instruments. Jerry joined the Denver Municipal Band in 1966 and served as their executive director from 1995 to 2015. He also conducted the Metropolitan State University of Denver Concert/Community Band for nearly 15 years. He was a member of the
Denver Musicians Association since 1967 and received Mayor Webb’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2002.
